Help Build the Cities of Tomorrow

Posted on Mar 17, 2015

Cities of Tomorrow is a competition created by the Large Urban Mayor’s Caucus of Ontario to provide an opportunity for Ontario students to enter the policy making process with proposals for improving Ontario’s urban centres.

Ontario’s Big City Mayors are looking for ambitious and innovative proposals that city councils may apply to help build the Cities of Tomorrow. This tasks teams with identifying an urban technology, process, policy or program that can address problems unique to large cities and which intersect with the priorities of Ontario’s Big City Mayors. Teams of 2-5 students can submit a maximum 2,500 word proposal that outlines their idea and why it is worthwhile. Winning teams will be presented with a total of $50,000 in cash prizes.

A select number of participants will be invited to present their innovative ideas and be evaluated by a diverse panel of experts at a weekend showcase in the Fall of 2015.
